Can I return the car after business hours?
Which cards do you accept to rent a vehicle?
Do I need to make a deposit when reserving a vehicle?
No. We do not take any deposit at the time of the reservation. Although, you need to fill the credit/debit card information on your reservation in order to guarantee the booking.

Do I need a Canadian drivers license in order to rent a vehicle?
Can I rent a car with a Class 7 License?
Yes. We accept Class 7 license and you are more than welcome to rent with us. Renting a car with a Class 7 license is perfectly
legal. Please place your ‘N’ Driver sign on the back of the vehicle once get in one of our cars.
Can I rent a car with a temporary license?
Can I rent a car with an expired license?
Yes. If you have the proper documentation confirming that you are currently in process of getting a new license, than it shouldn’t be
an issue at all. As always, we would need the necessary paperwork and picture ID. Please contact us for more information.
Can I rent a car with a restricted license?

What happens if someone besides the authorized driver drives the vehicle?

What is your fuel or gas policy?
Please note that the rental rate of the vehicle does not include the cost of fuel.
In this case, you have 3 options:
1. Bring back the vehicle with a full tank of gas and provide the receipt of the fuel purchased.
2. Pre-purchase the fuel in advance. A lot of our customers prefer this option as it eliminates the stress and hassle of trying
to find a gas station and fill the tank at the end of the rental period.
3. Bring the vehicle back and let us (Access Rent A Car) re-fuel for you based on the price as stated on the contract.
Do I have to buy additional "auto insurance" to rent a vehicle?
No. Access Rent A Car offers optional Loss Damage Waiver (LDW). LDW is not insurance. It is an option that
relieves the renter of financial responsibility, subject to a deductible, should the vehicle is damaged or stolen while under a

What are my options if the car has a mechanical problem on my trip?
All of our cars are brand new and under warranty. In addition, we also provide “Road Side Assistance” which is included in your
rental fee and covers you throughout your trip.
Where am I allowed to drive?
You can travel with the rented vehicle outside of BC to permitted areas only. You need to get authorization from Access Rent A Car
prior to your travel. An additional cost may apply to your rental contract when traveling into the US.

Can I do a one way rental?
Can I pick up the vehicle at the airport? What about dropping it off over there?
What is your cancellation policy?
Access RAC requires a minimum of 48 hrs notice from the scheduled pick up for standard size vehicles ( compact, intermediate, full size, sporty) and 7 days notice for SUVs, minivans, winter/snow tire vehicles to avoid cancellation fee. Customers that fail to show for a reservation will be charged 50% of the rental cost. All cancellations require email confirmation to avoid additional charges.

What is the minimum renters age?

Access Rent A Car has partnership with the most prestigious language schools in Vancouver. If you are a student at E.C (English Center), St. Giles, SEC, ZONI, ELS, GEOS, EuroCentre and Greystone College, we can give you a special offer so you can enjoy your trip without concerns.

Can I extend the rental period?
Extending the rental period is possible at the time of check-out or during the rental itself. However, you must notify us at least 2
hours prior to the expiration of the rental period. The extension is subject to vehicle availability and extra payment. An
additional credit or debit card authorization may be required. If you fail to request an extension in the given period, the vehicle
may be notified to the police as stolen.
What happens if I return the car late?
If the vehicle returns more than 59 minutes after the time set for it in the Rental Agreement, we will be forced to
charge a full day’s rental.
Can I check rates online without making a booking?
Do you provide optionals as child seats or navigation system?
What is your smoke policy on the cars?
What happen if I cross a toll bridge or have a parking ticket?
If you cross a toll bridge, you have two options, you can either go to the bridge administration website and pay by yourself or you can tell us when you return the vehicle and we include the amount on your rental agreement. If the crossing is not communicated and the amount not paid, an administrative fee is applied.
Regarding parking tickets, you can also pay the bill directly or let us know and we include on your rental agreement.
